Create Day

This cutie has been a long time in the making. My bf just drilled holes in all my bear ears last Sunday, but alas it's still not done. :P When it came time to add a clasp I realized I have none! I'm really happy with how it turned out tho. I'm just getting the hang of making connector beads with wire.

Remember I fell in lurv with the mini Barbie pegs?! Well, I have fakies*!* And have had since before Xmas, ahah. They got a little lost in my cluttered room/life. My perched pegasi features hand-ruffled manes & chenille tails + a magic spell that makes them perch on your shoulder. Their eyes need work: either a gem, pastel google eye with lash, or repainting(that's tuff for me tho). I've been feeling so stellar~ I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see my ideas finally brought into being ^-^

The one on the right is my first & the one on the left is my second. The yarn I'm using is a gradient pastel rainbow, except for the stark purple bits: I like it better as two-tone like my first one, so I may change the tail on the second gal. It was kind of just a test to see how much yarn I could actually get in there, lol.

Review of sassyNpunk Boutique

They had a sale not too long ago & I decided to purchase a pastel bat clip & a Sailor Jupiter ring.

I wouldn't call this pastel. It's a light purple. I was expecting it to look like the lavender star beads of fairy kei fame. Color aside the bat adhered to the clip is pliable, so to open/use the clip warps the wings. It also has rough edges...I guess you can't really file or sand soft resin, so that kinda makes sense. The good news is it'll be easy for me to scrape along to edges to at least correct the outline of the bat.

I know that if I were describing this item the word I'd use is, "olive green" or army green mayhap. The item is no longer available on the site, but it looked green yellow. Color aside, tho, the sticker is positioned crookedly under what appears to be more not fully cured resin...this time with bubbles. The ring only fits on my pinky fingers: that was not shocking & I'd fully prepared myself for it, assuming I'd be chopping off the ring part & putting it on my own nickle free ring blanks.

I've already found the silver lining ^-* It *neeeds* cover, so cabs & lace trim will fight this ugly olive in the name of the MOon...(?_?)oh, I mean, fashion~yes*!* Fashion.


Do I have anything good to say about my experience? Well, the packing was cute.

But it was also pretty infuriating to get into, being that bubble wrap was taped very tightly around each item in the paper bubble lined mailer. And they stapled reclosable zip bags shut with their little shop name paper over the top(opening), so even THAT little bag had to be sliced into. There were 2 staples in the bag holding the bat clip & the metal staple dragged across my bat as I was getting it out, scratching it.

I'll tell you what good I've taken away from this experience was! It made me feel super awesome about myself & everything I sell on my etsy & about the practices of sellers I've purchased things from. I've not ever been so misled nor been so misleading. I know that all monitors display color differently & how hard it can be to capture the colors of items, so I do my very best to photograph well & will always describe the color to the best of my ability using terms we're pretty much all familiar with. I've never been contacted or otherwise called out for misrepresentation.

I won't be shopping there again.

Re-PINK

Errythins pink in this world. And I likes it that way. My hair has been supah dupah dry on the ends & some pink parts are almost faded to white. I lurv how it looks, but my locks need lovin. So, I put some awesome alba leave in conditioner into my coconut & bubblegum concoction.

My Miso (also known as Ze Duchess-don't touch us!) -me loves when I do anything to my hair & always gives a sniff and close examination before rubbing all ovah me~she's my Miso-sweet~and I love her SO much*!* I should pamper myself more. This week has been so busy;D very nice to have a take speacial care of me day.


I had put an orange (really crappy zone i think the brand) into my hair when last I colored it in honor of my favee new G4, but I'm not keeping that up at all(got yellow gross), so I think we're waving buh bye to the orange stripe...or at least waving hello to a prettier pinky orange one-pah~ha. ^-* You'll note my fave G4 ponies live in their own cloud kingdom. The flash washed it out, but the cloud set is actually pink like cotton candy & that's why my Sweetie Swirl( I don't rhully call her that) rules it :D she's got a cotton candy cutie mark*!* Don't argue with me_she's the daughter of Sugar Sweet(cotton candy G1 uni_that ain't no lady body) and Cotton Candy(G3 land pony). And ze light up Pinkie & Rarity(who has the horn mold length ALL unis should have. {stumpy mumble pout}OMG Rarity crax me UP!) ahem, also reside in her land. XO< I still love you Swirl Sweet, but pink is b-b-b-BEST*!*

Twas an etsy Week *but* Got a Little Thriftday Blog

It took me quite while to get all my sweater listings made, but it's done*!* And a lot of it has sold already making room for me to manifest more adorable Thriftday finds to share with you all.

I traveled to a Jo-Ann's far far from the one I frequent hoping to find better energy. And not only was energy better: product was too. It took forevs to find everything cuz the place was huge and foreign, but the trip went splendidly.

The focus of my day was supposed to be supplies for shipping & creating, but the craft store was *right* next to a thrift store & dollar store. You know me*!~i can't resist dollar stores. The quick thrift did yield some cutie p0p things & the dollar store was an AllStar score*!*

There was no sunlight yesterday, so the pictures are less than, I feel.

First up is this vest which I plan on bleaching (hooray for rainless weather...coming soon I hopes, haha) and coloring to kewt perfexion.

Life Can Be a Dream Sticky Sweetheart

Last night, a few dreams before I woke up today, I dreamt I made this thing. Just, sat down and did it. So I wanted to afford myself in this reality the opportunity to be an artistic genius and today just sat down and did it*!*

With a little drafting and fine-tuning this will be everybit as fabulous as it was (they-I made earrings in the dream) in my alternate dream dimension. I'm totes happy with myself though: this is almost a whole roll of copper wire & this is ONEe piece of wire. Lots of work & lots of fun closing my eyes to pull wire thru while it flys all over the room taunting my cats.

Now, if only I can happen across a bunch of soggy popples & at least get to see glow-in-the-dark Monster High dolls get made. ^-^

Just a draft & I wasn't able to find round nose pliers, but still good, right?

Thriftday of Funtasmic Fairy Kei Finds

I'm gonna show these in the order I found them in ^-^
Discovered in the sporting goods section....go fig ( i was there for other cute repurposes) When I said OMG and sped off Sean thought I had seen the TMNT kids floaty vest...oh, Sean, pah~ha~ha, no.


The pastel rainbow on this is craze amaze. I might sell it though.


Did some digging thru gross to unbury this treasure from our new thrift store & it was SO incredibly worth it~OMG*!* Neon with pastel polkadots {squee} I assure you I'm eating my heart out.

Found this at the new thrifty store too. The shoe on it looks like the ones I was wearing when I found it ^_^

Impulse buy at the new place. It has velcro on like 6 diff paces on it and was just a tangle of bunny thing, but it's pink & got backpack straps so I couldn't resist. Once I got home I set about detangling this thing. And I think I've got it figured out now....but it looks like it's holding it's crotch or umbilical cord XD I love it for bein so freakish and cute at the same time.

Sean moves all the clothes on the rack so I can see. Nothing would possible without him! I bout died when he pulled this out. It smells gross and is in ick shape(like sum fool ate BBQ in it...KS BBQ is the best tho), so once it's clean I'll wear it worry free.


This isn't even as light as it looks here in the photo. I wish it looked like *this*, lol. Gonna see if I can bleach it. It's just for grubbin round the house in.

Remember that one sweater from my etsy??? It was sold by the time I refreshed my page to see if the listing went up properly...totes craZ*!* The one I found this Thriftday is really similar, yet quite different. My new one is smaller, shorter, has metal threads, brighter colors, no tag, and so much lavender & mint I'm positively exstatic 'bout it*!* It's not in anywhere near as good a condition as the one I sold(that one was brand spankin new:D no lie!): D that's otay~it's been worn, snagged, was clearly loved *&* I'm gonna love it sumore ~^-^~

Here's the progress I've made on that seafoam skirt I thrifted not on Thriftday. I did that Wednesday*!* Til I was sweating and shaking too bad to hold the needle. I'm gonna put teh lace (which I also thrifted...with mah mom awhile back) all the way to that corner.

Thrift Outing: 6 Serendipitous Finds *&* Mystery BONUS *???*

We headed out early this morning to Savers, who is having a sale today on all clothing long sleeved. I'm in the process of manifesting a great white wind-breaker(totes pahlain & boring) for my gramma. I'm stoopid excited about getting her one cuz all my life she's been asking me if I have a coat or need a coat & buying them for me even if I don't need one cuz Gramma just lurvs tah *shop* with me.

Oh, lol, there's a reason they're called Thriftdays in the book of Melee. _no windbreakers_ploop.

^-^Scanning the toys there were 3 bby G3 (one even a peg!) in 3 diff bags lumped in with a bunch of other junk. 3 bux a p-p-pony pop wouldn't be so bad- I just hate the way they make you buy junk. Mayjurr reason I don't make Savors a regular stop. *but* there were a few cute things I couldn't resist.

I may be painting these lavender, but I like them as they are. but ; Prolly cuz they're so much like the docs I have. Do you think I should paint them lavender? I think it goes with everything & every style, even red & black. I have at least 3 pairs of black boots.

Gramma got those docs for me in high school after my mom refused to cuz they were too expensive. I didn't care that they were Doc Martins~I cared they fit well, were comfy, and looked good. I craze picky bout mah shoes. The deal was I could have them if I wore them & 10 years later I still do. I never got around to painting the other sole with black fabric paint...i do ever so adore asymmetry in my shoes.

I actually headed over to VHS with Lexi Bee & my mom in mind. Lexi has me *so* curious about Zenon. I've never seen it*!* Hard to buhleeve, but my life didn't always involve so much TV watching. But I remember seeing an ad for it and being inspired by it enuff to sketch out spacey fashions. And my mom is on the lookout for yoga tapes. Instead of Y or Z I found this*!* It's my gramma's favorite movie and I've got plenty of VCRs to get her set up at the home. I got it on DVD for her, but she refused to accept that technology, lol. Came for Gramma & scored a loverly consolation prize. I'm so happy*!*
