I got these off brand stands from ebay. They aren't marketed towards Monster High dolls & it's not in the US. It took FOREVER for me to get them, but I'm totes happy & would(will) purchase more.

They are bubblegum pink & lovely light lavender. Pastels=YAY
They're a softer plastic than MH stands. Now it's 87 degrees in my room, so most plastics wilt in here. Since they lean back you run the risk of the doll falling backward, but I think most of us place our dolls against a wall anyway. I haven't yet, but a washer or two adhered to the underside would remedy this problem for good. You can bend the pole forward just as easily as backward.
Even tho they're larger these stands are lighter.
To use the rings on actual MH stands you have to scrape the inside of the T shape that the pole goes through.
The pole is too small to snap into a MH base. If you really really wanted to I'm sure you could shove some stuff in the hole so the pole stays put in a Monster High stand.
They have more of a hook shape on either side of the waist ring(as opposed to a nub) so you can use some of those lovely clear bands you've painstakingly removed from your dolls and boxes.
Unlike MH stands the ring slides down the whole length of this pole. This means a doll can be secured in a seated position.
There are little trays(for lack of a better word) in the front and rear of the base which you can set cardstock (like notecards) or even just printer paper into.

I abso loathly hate teh actual Monster High doll stands (and the fact that some dolls don't even come with one!) because they are such a tight fit on the waist you end up stretching the doll's clothes & risk ruining them. Advice Time: Before placing your new doll on her stand use a nail file to rub down any seam that may be creating a rough or catchy/cutty edge on the inside of the waist gripper.
These stands even go around Cupid's wings *!*
They're also totally stellar for Spectra
they are pretty cute. I might have to get a few of those to go with my MH dolls that didn't come with stands. :D
